FUAP work closely with cattle farmers providing assistance with education on improving their working condition and livestock keeping technique. In a country like Tanzania it has become a great issue for cattle farmers to have conflicts with field crops farmers since there is the primitive technique of feeding the livestock by grazing on fields resulting to some livestock eating and destroying farm crops. We at FUAP continue to educate cattle farmers to stop this primitive technique of feeding and start using already prepared feed, either from feed mills or grass harvested from the fields and feed their cattle. This even encourage the field crop farmers to take the opportunity and plant feeding grass that they can sell to the cattle farmers as feeds. With enough funding we can afford to research more so as to employ other means of storing these feeds for drought season so as to prevent cattle famine that is quite an issue for farmers currently.
